Love this image of Jason and Amy.  As a professional wedding photographer; you always have to be prepared for the unknown.  This took place during the wedding ceremony; it was so cute; everyone chuckled and clapped; it was adorable.

Las Vegas, Nevada | Engagement session of Sean and Jacquelyn

We had the pleasure of photographing Sean and Jacquelyn’s engagement session in Las Vegas.   We were in Las Vegas for our WPPI | Wedding and Portrait Photographers International convention.

Sean and Jacquelyn both own pizza chains, they met in Las Vegas at a pizza convention and fell in love.  We felt it was the perfect setting to do their engagement session and to capture their Love Story.  We had so much fun with them; it was an awesome time!  I’m so glad I brought along an umbrella as it made for some really cool pictures.  Needless to say; they didn’t get as wet as we did but we all had such a great time together.  Jacquelyn and I even had fun making the guys stop at Tiffany’s and Company so we could look at all the shiny diamonds and jewelry; after all we were in Vegas and everything was was so shiny.

We can’t wait to photograph their destination wedding in Mexico in December.  Besides covering the Bride and Groom’s wedding day; Scott and I will also be photographing their rehearsal and of course an after session.  Plus some other exciting adventures with Sean and Jacquelyn and their family and guest.   Be sure to watch for the slide show to follow soon.

This is another of my favorites from 2009 from Michael and Erin’s wedding.   The wedding ceremony and reception took place in West Bend, Wisconsin at their island off Cedar lake.  Beautiful area for a wedding and great photo opportunity.  I especially love the artwork Scott did on this one.

The day after we arrived at the Riu resort in Ocho Rios Jamaica ; we went with the Bride and Groom and their family and guest to the Dunns River Falls to capture the memories for everyone as a keepsake.  Was amazing to see and experience up close.

Wisconsin wedding | Dennis and Michelle | Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Congratulations to the Bride and Groom; Dennis and Michelle on their beautiful wedding.  The ceremony took place at St Catherine’s of Alexandria in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the wedding reception was at the beautiful Hilton Garden Inn, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  The day was perfect; we had so much fun photographing Dennis and Michelle’s wedding. Their family and guest were so much fun; we felt like part of the family.  Defiantly loved working with all the wedding vendors and The Hilton Garden Inn was elegant; the new ballroom was beautiful.

We truly enjoyed photographing Dennis and Christine’s wedding.   I have to say; wow … Christine’s wedding dress was truly amazing!!  It was so like a celebrity style wedding gown.  The fact is Christine and Dennis totally reminded me of Eva Longoria and Tony Parker.   The resemblance was amazing.  We had so much fun; we already have plans to do an after session with Christine and Dennis.

The Ceremony took place at Mt Hope in West Allis, Wisconsin and the Wedding Reception was held at The Lake Front Brewery downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Everyone was so much fun and great to work with.  The day went perfect, from start to finish.   Here are a few of our favorites so far from the day.   Enjoy … and be sure to leave some comments for the Bride and Groom.  Check back soon, I’ll be adding a slide show real soon!!!

Wedding at Wisconsin Dells for Alisha and Jo’el by Ambiance Studios Photography

Congratulations to Jo’el and Alisha on their beautiful wedding.  The wedding took place at Christmas Mountain in the Wisconsin Dells.  It was such a beautiful and emotional ceremony.  I couldn’t hold back the tears when Alisha’s Mom seen her in her dress that morning.  Very emotional and a beautiful moment.  And to surprise Alisha; her Mom gave her a special gift, a ring from her and her father.  Another special surprise was to follow right before the ceremony.  I’ll get to that later. 

The couple choose to see each other before the ceremony so once Alisha was ready we drove her down to the Ceremony site to see Jo’el for a private meeting to capture their first look at one another in their wedding attire.  Jo’el was set in position facing the lake at the ceremony site.  Alisha walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder.  As he turned to see her for the first time in her wedding gown (looking like a princess), we captured the special moment from every angle from a distance; not disturbing their special moment.  It was breathtaking.  Jo’el picked Alisha up and twirled her around, it was like a scene from the movies.  I couldn’t hold back the tears … it was a very emotional moment.

We gave them some alone time to talk and then got to take some fantastic images of the two of them.  Later their family arrived for pictures; of course that meant more happy tears.  It was so nice to finally meet the whole family.  Everyone was so sweet; they made us feel like part of the family.   The formals were all completed and then Jo’el and Alisha wanted to go downtown in the Dells for some great photo opportunity before the ceremony.  One location was the upside down building … and then the coliseum.  I’ll probably have to update this post on the exact names of where we went later.   We had so much fun with the two of them and it showed they were having fun in the photos.

Once completed we had to get back in time for the ceremony.  Now for the other surprise for Alisha from her parents.  I knew about it in advance but promised to keep the secret.

I wanted to post something for any wedding couples planning their wedding and all of our photographer friends. Scott and I just returned from Jamaica; doing a destination wedding. Something important I think couples need to be aware of if they are planning on just having just the photographer from the resort. Most times your only going to receive formals of your day with some pictures of the ceremony. Also the equipment is very important. On our recent trip to Jamaica, the Bride and Groom told us they had a photographer included but were planning on telling him they didn’t need him. We told the couple to tell the photographer to go ahead and still take the pictures. Why not; its more pictures for them. Well; the equipment he had was nothing special. To be honest, when we spoke to the wedding couple, Joe and Cherise recently and asked them about their pictures they told us they didn’t even bother picking them up. They weren’t impressed by him as well with his equipment or anything he did. They had 8 free 8 x 10′s coming and didn’t even what them for free.

This should at least give any upcoming wedding couples something to think about if your planning a destination wedding. You defiantly want to bring along your own professional photographers to cover your special day. When Ambiance Studios llc Photography shoots a Destination Wedding; the couple will automatically receive 3 days of coverage from Ambiance Studios llc Photography.

The Day Before, covering an intimate engagement session of the two of you and your rehearsal and dinner and some photos afterword’s of you and your guest . We also went to the Dunn’s River Falls with the wedding couple earlier in the day with all their family and guest. Capturing them going up the falls together hand in hand like a human chain. Adding that to their story into their wedding album. Priceless ….its a keepsake for all of their family and guest as well.

The Wedding Day, starts with you getting ready, all the details of your whole day from beginning to end, including a private session of the two of them for some fantastic images at sunset.

The Day After can be done at sunrise or sunset the next day; or 2 days later is sometimes preferred so your not getting up early the day after your wedding. The couple chose sunrise; these are some of their favorite pictures as well as mine. Then to complete this session Joe and Cherise jumped into the infinity pool. It was comical to watch about 20 by standers watching at 7:00 am in the morning … gasping …holding their hands over their mouths … their not going to jump into the pool and get her dress all wet before the wedding are they … not realizing that they were already married. They were the talk of the day; you could hear people talking about what they’d seen to other quest the rest of the day. The couple choose 2 images from the day after session / Trash the dress session for their thank you cards.

Of course your family and friends will also want some special pictures of themselves, and that is included as well. There is much more to shooting a wedding then just the traditional pictures.
